Well This is the song that still moves me the most when I listen to it. I am proud of it for many reasons. One being that it is collaboration with two of my favorite guys. And two, because it addresses a conversation I have been having with myself, as well as others, for the past several years about spirituality. This song came out of a year of blogging at cussingandpraying.wordpress.com. Check it out if you “Want to Know” more of my journey.
lyrics
I want to know why no one wants to ask the questions out loud
I want to know why everybody acts like they’ve got it figured all out
I want to know I want to know I want to know
A little more than this
I want to know I want to know I want to know
What this is
I don’t want to do this if I don’t know why
I don’t want to say it if the thought’s not mine
Can I still believe it if it blurs the lines
I don’t want to do this if I don’t know why
I want to go beyond the lines everyone’s tried to fill out
I want to know if I’m the only one who can’t get it figured all out
I want to know I want to know I want to know
A little more than this
I want to know I want to know I want to know
What this is
I don’t want to do this if I don’t know why
I don’t want to say it if the thought’s not mine
Can I still believe it if it blurs the lines
I don’t want to do this if I don’t know why
If I don’t know why
If I don’t know why
If I don’t know why
Don’t know why
(Repeat)
I want to know why no one wants to ask the questions out loud
I want to know why no one wants to ask the questions out loud
I want to know why no one wants to ask the questions out loud
